On Aug. 1, 2025, The Mann Center hosted artist Lord Huron for their 2025 world tour. The tour has stops across the U.S. and Europe and includes tracks across their discography.
Lord Huron is a Los-Angeles based American indie rock band composed of members Mark Berry (percussion), Miguel Briseño (bass), Tom Renaud (guitar) and founder Ben Schneider (lead vocals). The group has been playing since the age of 12, but formed their official band in 2010. Lord Huron debuted in 2012 with “Lonesome Dreams,” followed by their 2015 album “Strange Trails.” This album featured the widely popular song “The Night We Met,” which has since become one of Spotify’s Top 40 most-streamed songs of all time. In 2018, Lord Huron earned widespread recognition and a Top 5 debut on the Billboard Top 200 for their third album, “Vide Noir.”
The show’s opening act was Lee Fields, an American soul singer, who is sometimes nicknamed “Little JB” due to his physical and vocal resemblance to James Brown.
As Lord Huron took to the stage about an hour after Fields’ set, the first thing that struck the audience’s eyes was the elaborate stage design. With rock structures placed around the stage, a mysterious telephone booth with a floating telephone and a holographic backdrop that changed throughout the show, the audience could tell this concert would be quite the performance.
Lord Huron opened with their new song “Who Laughs Last” featuring actress Kritsen Stewart. The song is her musical debut and, although she herself did not appear on stage, the song set the tone for the rest of the concert as fans shouted excitedly.
The concert was a good blend of the band’s new and old songs, some notable mentions include “Ends of the Earth” from their album “Lonesome Dreams,” “Meet Me in the Woods” from the album “Strange Trails” and “Bag of Bones” from their latest album “The Cosmic Selector Vol.1.”

One of the highlights of the show was the incorporation of two dancers who came to the stage during the song “Long Lost.” The two dancers performed a beautiful dance that not only captivated the audience, but transformed the music into an almost theatrical performance. The dancers not only twirled around the stage, but also went into the audience. The concert hall was quiet, except for the band playing, and the occasional gasp of “ooh’s” and “ahh’s.”The number was one that would be hard to forget.
As the show went on, the stage transformed to show a forest setting that incorporated vines intertwined with lights that hung from the ceiling. The holographic backdrop switched between a forest and lights that resembled stars.
As the night came to a close, Lord Huron began their encore act with “The Night We Met,” their most popular and well-known song. As the first notes from the song were played, the audience fell completely silent. The song is known to be an incredibly sad song about the longing the narrator has to return back to the night their relationship began and the desire to undo the pain and the mistakes made. The song encapsulates the feelings of missing someone, and the desire to change the outcome of the relationship. The audience sang along to every word, exemplifying why the song became so popular in the first place.
The concert ended with the song “Digging Up the Past.” The show was definitely one that Lord Huron fans will not forget. The band continues their tour with a few more stops in the U.S., including Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Columbus, Ohio and Rochester Hills, Michigan, before they begin their tour across Europe.
