DragonFly seven brings Yung Gravy to the DAC

Aug. 28, 2025

On Aug. 28, Dragon Concert Series announced via Instagram that the headliner of their annual DragonFly concert will be Yung Gravy. Throughout his career as an artist, Yung Gravy has received multiple platinum certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America with “Mr. Clean” and “1 Thot 2 Thot Red Thot Blue Thot” and seen success on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Betty (Get Money).”

Yung Gravy will be preceded on stage by two professional openers along with two student openers. Throughout the week, DragonFly’s Instagram has been unveiling the lineup—building up to today’s big reveal of Yung Gravy himself as the headliner. MKTO, best known for their hit “Classic,” will perform right before Gravy, with Joontoon and Valentinesday performing earlier in the night. Later, DragonFly will announce the final student opener.

Since its debut in 2017, the Dragon Concert Series has presented a DragonFly concert annually, with the sole exception of 2020. Each year, the Dragon Concert Series partners with student organizations across campus to host DragonFly, which is the largest student-run event at Drexel. Drawing more than 1,000 attendees annually, DragonFly offers students valuable experience in live event planning. The organization remains committed to expanding both DragonFly and the music scene at Drexel by bringing some of the world’s most iconic performers to campus. Past headliners have included Tinashe, Chlöe Bailey, COIN, Flo Rida, Lil Uzi Vert, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne and Walk the Moon.

This year, DragonFly will be hosted in the Drexel Athletic Center on Saturday Oct. 4. Tickets to the event are free for undergraduate students at Drexel, $15 for graduate students and $25 for non-Drexel students. Stay tuned to DCS’s and DragonFly’s Instagrams for more updates leading up to the event, including the announcement of the final student opener.
